A NEW HIKE IS VAUGHAN

Today 60 Senior Hikers had a double treat,  a brand new hike and a spanking new subway ride.

Waiting for our leader Charles Chaffey in the wrong place at the Station

Charles showed up and led the group to the correct spot

Leaving the station we headed towards York University Campus while experiencing a chilly wind

With no toilets at the brand new station, a stop at one of the University buildings was necessary

Nearby a sculpture depicting an Inuit Soccer Player. It was carved out of a 26 tonne rock!

The route

We owe a big thank you to Charles for taking us on a new hike that had a number of interesting features along the way. As usual he displayed care and consideration for the group. All in all a most enjoyable day despite the windy conditions. Thank you to Tonie for "Sweeping" so nicely and to Liliane for counting once again.
