WATERFRONT EAST
Mary Ayers led a most enjoyable hike along the waterfront today. 45 Senior Club members basked in the balmy record breaking temperature as they walked from Queens Quay West and Bay Street to The Beach area totalling a distance of 10.7 km. Our route along the Martin Goodman Trail via Cherry Beach to Leslie Street was approximately 7 km. At the intersection of Leslie & Lakeshore participants had a choice of lunching at Loblaws, Tim Hortons or Wendy's. After lunch we proceeded to the Boardwalk and viewed four of the Winter Stations situated on the beach around the lifeguard stations. The designs are part of an annual international competition which is now in it's third year. After a smattering of culture it was time taste the wares at the Firkin Gull Pub
