BLACK CREEK

It was a bitterly cold for todays Senior Hike. Monica Feran led 50 hardy types along the Black Creek Trail starting at Pioneer Village Station.

Time for a creative shot at the toilets

Approaching the trail

Monica making a point

Upon reaching the trail we gained some respite from the wind by being in the valley surrounding by trees

We lost the wind and gained numerous areas of ice to navigate around

Pausing while Ira explains about Rudi's Garden

Climbing the hill up to Sheppard Avenue

Water break?

Be very careful!

Tricky crossing

Up the icy hill to the Community Centre

Ah! lunch and a chance to warm up

Back on the trail with full stomachs and empty bladders

Back down the hill

Over the bridge again

Water break?

Last leg ending at Jane Street

Distance of 11 km

Wild Seniors at Wild Wings toasting Monica

As usual Monica led her signature meticulous hike ensuring everyone was taken care of. Thanks to Linda and Liliane for Sweeping and Counting
