CENTENNIAL PARK

Another chilly one for today's hike. 24 intrepid Seniors made the journey out to the far reaches of the West End undaunted by the frigid temperature

Gathering outside the LCBO but not "whining"

The ever smiling Claire Bergeron, today's leader and a true "Montrealer"

In contrast, would you want to hike with this man?

Traversing the icy steps to Bloordale Park

Claire holding court

And it's off we go towards Neilson Park

Togetherness

Up the hill to Bloor Street

Colourful Janos stepping it out with his familiar gait

The frozen Elmcrest Creek

Such a well orderly group, a rare sight

Pee break and a warm at the Neilson Park Creative Centre

Leaving the warmth of the Creative Centre

Retracing our steps

Everyone is so happy today

Janos, our worldly hiker still going strong

Back to the starting point before heading towards Centennial Park

Through the tunnel

And over the bridge

Lunch in the Centennial Conservatory

Stanley "unmasked". Love them shiney boots

Admiring the Christmas Flower Displays

Happy Group Photo

Due to the snow covered trails west of Centennial Park it was decided to shorten the hike and return to the starting point at the Burnhamthorpe Plaza

Up we climb to the finish and to the Pub for a few

Cheers to Claire at the Markland Pub

No photo's from Rene today. She is suffering from the dreaded flu while Dorit stayed home and celebrated her birthday. Thanks to Ilo for his lengthy strides as Sweep and to the ever inquisitive Liliane for the count
